  • Experience the power of the NamHa River as you tackle one thrilling rapid after another, set against a backdrop of dramatic natural scenery at the heart of the NamHa NPA.
  • During the wet season the Namha river is one of the fastest flowing in Luang Namtha province.
  • Watch dramatic scenery unfold while paddling downriver, tackling exciting
  • rapids and visiting remote communities on the way.
  • Experience village life by spending the night at a homestay or eco-lodge as a guest of the Khmu people.
  • Each day enjoy an authentic Lao-style picnic lunch at a truly unique and pictures riverside location.

Day 1 Trekking

 Meet at the Eco Adventure office at 9:00 AM for a short transfer to Chaluensouk village. There, you will meet your village guide who will assist you throughout the trek. 

Ascend the mountain, then traverse the ridge line, enjoying breathtaking views. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by your guides along the way. 

Descend through a dense green forest to reach your sanctuary camp, nestled within a magnificent old-growth forest. Refresh yourself with a swim in a cascading waterfall. 

Learn local cooking techniques using bamboo and enjoy a campfire dinner. Spend the evening exchanging stories by the bonfire or try to spot some nocturnal wildlife.

Day 2

 

Start your day with a hot drink and a delicious Lao breakfast, accompanied by the sounds of the jungle and village life. 

Embark on a thrilling kayaking adventure, navigating exciting rapids and twists and turns on the river. Stop by charming villages, including Ban Nalan Tai of the Khmu tribe and Nam Koy of the Lantan tribe. Enjoy a scenic riverside picnic, complete with an optional water fight!  

Continue kayaking, alternating between exhilarating rapids and peaceful stretches of river. Conclude your adventure in Houay Leuat village. 

Change into warm clothes and enjoy the ride back to the Eco Adventure office.
