After 2-3 hours of trekking, we stop for a Lao picnic lunch, prepared by our guides using natural resources. The journey continues through an impressive primary forest with mahogany trees, bamboo groves, and wild banana plants.
At the campsite, guides will teach you how to build a shelter using jungle materials. Enjoy dinner by the campfire before sleeping to the soothing sounds of nature.
Day 2 – Village Homestay
Wake up to birdsong and a delicious breakfast prepared by the guides. At 9:00 am, we resume hiking through forested hills and lush valleys.
For lunch, learn how to find and cook jungle food using traditional techniques. The trek then continues through ancient forests before descending towards the Nam Ha NPA, offering breathtaking valley views.
Around 3:00 pm, we reach Nalan, a Khmu village, where you’ll meet locals and experience their way of life. A traditional Lao dinner will be served at your homestay.
