After a short walk through plantations, we enter the untouched jungle of Nam Ha National Protected Area, where you may hear or spot wildlife. A picnic lunch is enjoyed along the way. Our guides will share ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants, edible leaves, and jungle survival skills, including setting up a traditional hunter’s camp and preparing a Khmu-style jungle meal.
We then continue trekking downhill through the primary forest until we reach the campsite.
Day 2 – Village Homestay
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and enjoy breakfast before following the return trail. The trek continues through the Nam Ha NPA valley, passing lush landscapes.
After lunch, we gradually descend toward a stream under towering canopies, arriving at a village before sunset. After settling into your homestay, explore the village and learn about local traditions. A traditional dinner will be served, followed by community-led activities.
Day 3 – Nalan Village (Khmu Tribe)
In the morning, enjoy Lao coffee or local tea in bamboo cups, then try crossbow shooting or traditional rice pounding.
After breakfast, we hike up a steep hill to a breathtaking viewpoint. Though challenging, the trail rewards you with stunning forest landscapes and rich biodiversity. A traditional lunch is prepared along the forest path.
The day ends with a two-hour descent to Chalernsouk village, where we stay overnight.
